Hi all,
I was given a HP notebook model hp 15-da0002dx. It had issues and the owner just wanted a few files off of it. I managed to get that done, and he asked if I could wipe it and reinstall windows. I did that with the newest windows 10 version from the site. Now that everything is set up, I noticed there was issues with the touchpad gestures no longer working. It works as a mouse and on single clicks, but not two finger right clicking, or any swipe gestures. So I looked up issues and was sent to the support.hp.com to download and update drivers. I used the auto detection tool and it found my laptop. Next it asked for my windows version but the 63bit 22h2 version that is installed isn't found. I'm guessing that's part of the issues I've found. I'm wondering if someone can help me figure this out? Do I really have to install in older version of windows 10? Or are there other solutions?
Thanks in advance!

Hi:
What I suggest you do is to use the HP cloud recovery tool to create a bootable USB recovery drive that will reinstall W10, the drivers and the software that originally came with the notebook.
Here is an info link for how to use the utility. You will need a 32 GB USB flash drive for this.

After you install the original factory image, test to make sure that the touchpad works correctly and then click on the blue Update Now button at the link below to upgrade to W10 22H2.
Download Windows 10 (microsoft.com)
Hopefully, everything will still be working correctly afterward.
