Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My mother-in-law bought an HP Laptop 15-dw0xxx.
she has had it about 3 months, and this last weekend she went to turn it on and was stuck at a screen saying

Recovery

Your pc/Device needs to be repaired.
a required device isnt connected or can't be accessed

error code: 0xc000000e

Press enter to try again

press F1 to enter recovery Envionrment

press F8 for startup settings

press Esc for UEFI Firmware settings.

i have rebooted the silly laptop a few times trying to force the recovery tools to load, but i keep getting shunted back to this same screen.
Enter flashes the screen, back to this screen.
hit f1 verified memory and hard drive both good.

i created a bootable usb then changed boot settings in bios to have it boot to usb, but it fails, directing me to www.windows.com/stopcode
the problem here though is im stuck since i cant get safe mode to trigger after multiple consecutive forced reboots (like the expected behavior outlined in the steps on the website...)???

Hi, @deli66 since the laptop has just been purchased, the warranty will still be valid. See if you can get in touch with HP Support as the issue could most likely be a hardware challenge.

Reach out to them here.

Hi, @deli66

See if this works to boot from the USB recovery drive...

Have it plugged into the PC's USB port.

Turn on or restart the PC.

Immediately press/tap the ESC key to get the menu of options

Select the F9 boot options menu and from that select the USB flash drive with the recovery image on it, and press the Enter key.

The PC should then boot from the USB recovery drive.

following these steps the pc goes to the initial boot screen with the HP Logo. after about 10 seconds, the loading icon (spinning circle) displays for 10 seconds, then the screen flashes to image 1, simply saying "your device ran into a problem and needs to restart. we will restart for you.

the qr code and listed website mentions www.windows.com/stopcode.
unfortunately thats where my original post finishes up...

once the pc reboots, im stuck at the screen with the HP Logo with no loading indicator (image 2)img 2img 2

I am meeting up with M-I-L on Saturday, and believe we will likely need to go down the warranty route... I was just hoping to avoid that as I've had mixed experiences with warranty work previously.

Thank you for your time, its greatly appreciated.

You're very welcome.

Sorry, that didn't work for you.
