Am heading to Dcotland and Ireland in a few months. I have a power adapter for the plug but it is necessary to purchase a power inverter for this laptop?

Hi,

That is enough

FYI. Last decade, my daughter travelled to no less than 40 countries including Russia withn 6 years. She used an HP laptop, a Dell laptop and a Sony laptop (around 2 years each) and all she had: few travel adapters.

Regards.

Hi,

Probably all laptops now use 110V-240V & 50Hz/60Hz adapters therefore all you need is a tourist adapter with you can buy at any airport or souvenirs shop.

To be sure is to be sure, you can turn the charger up-side-down to see its voltage & wattage.

Regards.
