Linux

I just got an HP 15-ef2126wm laptop, and installed Debian 11 Linux on it, taking out Windows entirely, NOT dual-booting. I installed it with the default partition settings, which is ~500MB for EFI at the start, 8GB swap and the rest is for the system.

Now the PC won't boot into GRUB, and takes me directly to the generic 3F0 error screen: http://www.hp.com/go/3F0harddiskerror
I ran the diagnostics and it's all alright.

I CAN get into grub, by spamming ESC when booting, selecting F9 (Boot Menu), then selecting "Boot from EFI file" -> EFI -> Debian -> grubx64.efi

Which puts me in GRUB, from where I have the typical boot options. I can then just choose Debian and boot into my system and use it normally, login and do all my stuff.

When I go into the boot menu at the start of the whole process, and try to choose the boot order, the "OS Boot Manager" option has an arrow next to it, and trying to select it says "OS Boot Manager is not found"

Is there a way to get this laptop to recognize the EFI partition and boot into it?
