HP Recommended

HP 15T-eg100 heats and requires a hard reset. I have had to do this two times today. Do I need a new battery? Do I need a new computer? I have read the posts about fans, dust, vents, et al. Presently I plan on removing the battery before leaving the computer for an extended period such and night when I am sleeping. Thank you; sherman
