So Guy, I just bought a new HP 15s Via Flipkart 2 days before... It all seemed fine and all... And I connected to internet and wanted to stream a full HD video on youtube to check the display quality at that moment the fan noise seemed to become louder for a few seconds... And after that I tried to install a game in the lap ... Then the fan noise started to get louder slowly and this time it was going on contiously and didn't stopped until I cancelled the installation... I contacted the hp support via WhatsApp and they told me to update bios and I did... But that still haven't solved the problem ... And they said a technician will reach me in 3-4 days but I'm afraid my Flipkart replacement period will be over within that... So what should I do... And pls tell me if any of you have faced similar issue in this model like this.. or is it only me... Specs: I3 1215u 8gb ram 512 ssd

Hi @j1esma,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It seems like you're experiencing issues with the fan noise on your new HP 15s laptop. Here are a few steps you can take to address the problem.
- Check Task Manager: Open Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift + Esc) and check if any resource-intensive tasks or processes are running in the background. Sometimes, excessive CPU usage can cause the fan to work harder.
- Update Drivers: Ensure that all your drivers, especially graphics and chipset drivers, are up-to-date. Visit the HP website to download the latest drivers for your specific model.
- Power Plan Settings: Go to Power Options in the Control Panel and make sure your laptop is set to a balanced power plan. High-performance plans can cause the system to generate more heat and trigger the fan to run more frequently.
- BIOS/UEFI Update: You've already updated the BIOS, but make sure you have the latest version. Check the HP support website for any newer BIOS updates.
- Cooling Pad: Consider using a cooling pad to help dissipate heat more efficiently. This can be especially useful during resource-intensive tasks like gaming.
- Clean Air Vents: Ensure that the laptop's air vents are not blocked and are clean. Dust and debris can accumulate and hinder proper airflow, causing the fan to work harder.
If the problem is not resolved within the Flipkart replacement period, you may want to contact Flipkart customer support and explain the situation. They might be able to extend the replacement period or provide guidance on how to proceed.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
