Sorry for the winded reply... just glad i was able to get it fixed... thx again for your help.. pc is now runnimg awesome... and i just installed microsoft updates and now its upgrading to windows 10 .... thx so much for helping me ..

Hi,
That's wonderful news.
Some tips :
1) Back up your system regularly. Here are instructions about system image (built into Windows 7,8,10) >> http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03544793
This option backs-up everything on your machine - all the files, programs, data, partitions, the whole HDD stuff and can be used to restore if something failed
Best options for archiving would be external HDD and blank DVD for Windows recovery media
2) Ensure the PC is properly protected with regards to firewall, antivirus software, anti-malware software. Some free tools you can use : Sophos HitmanPro ( www.surfright.nl ) , Malwarebytes' AntiMalware - FREE version only ( www.malwarebytes.org ). Windows 8 and 10 have antivirus built-in (Windows Defender - ensure you update it regularly. If you are not happy with it, you can try Kaspersky, ESET or Norton.
