HP ENVY m7 Notebook
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Updated windows 10 to latest creator 2017 version. Noticed that my lower right hand taskbar icon for the HP 3D DRIVEGUARD was missing after update. The HP3DDGSERVICE.EXE is shown running in the Task Manager. There are no error messages showing.

1.  Is the HP 3D DRIVEGUARD running correctly ?

2.  Should the HP 3D program show up in the Task Manager Startup Tab ( for the icon to show up )?

3.  Do I need to re-download HP 3D Driveguard 6.0.28.1 ?

4. If new HP 3D Driveguard program download required please provide detailed steps that I should follow.

Thanks for your response

You can update your 3D Drivguard with latest version. But most people report the icon no longer runs in system tray after latest Creator Update. Apparently Windows did not like that icon in sys tray. As long as the service is running you should be fine.

thats rather annoying, as there is no way to see if driveguard is running unless you go to task manager and check to see if the service is running.

Couldn't the latest update be engineered to give you the choice to turn it on?
