OMEN by HP - 17-w273nr
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have 8 updates pending, 3 with !! in a square, 4 wih ! in a triangle and one i in a blue circle. Every time I try to download/install any of these, HP assistant get to 'create a restore point' and errors out.  I am able to create a manual restore point, and the C drive is the only one that is 'on' for restore point creation.

Hello @ScBeller

Thank you for posting in the HP Support forum.

Please, take a screenshot of what kind of updates you see and post it back here as an attachment (in your next post). Here is how to >> https://www.take-a-screenshot.org/

Note that HP Support Assistant may be useful app but is not mandatory for your PC to work. Windows 10 handles important updates on its own - it will automatically install important driver updates and other updates, and will also notify you if BIOS update is mandatory.

You can try re-downloading and re-install HP Support Assitant (HPSA) from here >> http://www8.hp.com/us/en/campaigns/hpsupportassistant/hpsupport.html?jumpid=va_r602_us/en/any/psg/pl...

Looking forward to your screenshot and updates.

Here's what the list is.  I'll also try the re-install of the HPSA as you mentioned.

Icons changed with the update, but the issues remain.

Looks like the updated HPSA is able to create the restore points and run the updates (at least it did for the first one). If all are successful, I'll tag this as an accepted solution.
