HP Assistant wll freezes when downloading updates.  I have tried uninstalling and reinstall to no avail.

  • What kind of update it is trying to download and it fails ?

 

Here are details how to fully reinstall HPSA if you want to try again

 

 

 

Eventually, restart your computer. Make sure you restart Windows (not just shut down and load back again). Here is how to restart it >> https://www.digitalcitizen.life/7-ways-shut-down-or-restart-windows-10-pc-or-device

 

Finally, re-download HPSA and reinstall it back.

You may download the latest version of the app from here (red/orange button) >> http://www8.hp.com/us/en/campaigns/hpsupportassistant/hpsupport.html
