Tech People,

Followed the instructions provided to eliminate the HP Audio Box that randomly appears and disappears in the middle of my screen, but going to the taskbar and clicking on startup, did not find the HP Audio switch box. It was not listed!! Please advise as I am about to take my Mickey Mantle 32 oz. bat to the CQ2000 PC Desktop.

Thanks

Welcome to HP forums, I understand you are having issues with the HP Audio switch on your HP notebook.

To provide you with an accurate solution, I'll need a few more details:

  • Have you recently made any changes on the PC before the issue started?
  • Have you tried to uninstall and reinstall HP Audio switch?
  • Did you download any apps from the Windows store?
  • Since when are you seeing the message?

In the meantime, let's try these steps here:

Let's start off by Uninstalling the HP Audio switch from Control panel - open control panel>>programs>> uninstall a program. It will give a list of programs available. Please check if you can see HP Audio Switch and is yes then uninstall it.

I would also suggest you could try to update the Bios and Chipset drivers on your PC from our HP support website, using this link.

Also, download and install HP support assistant on your PC. It should automatically download and install the latest updates and drivers for your PC.

Refer this link to know how to use HP support assistant.

Let me know how it goes.

To thank me for my efforts to help you, please mark my post as an accepted solution so that it benefits several others.

Cheers.
