HP Pavilion Gaming 15-dk2000 Laptop PC (2P1Z6AV)
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello. Up until now I was using HP bios f.27 (15.27.0.0) version on my computer. Since the update was available, I wanted to update it and switched to F.28 (15.28.0.0). But since I updated, I noticed that the fans were working less, I had not configured any settings in my previous bios version. Can I switch back to the previous bios version? If I can, where can I access the HP bios F.27 package? There are only the latest versions in the driver catalog and I could not find that package despite searching in the community. I need the HP bios F.27 package. Is there anyone who can support?

Hi @SerenEREN,

Welcome to HP Support Community!

We noticed that this thread hasn't had any updates in a while since your original post; while this is rare, we didn't want this post to remain unanswered, so here's the solution to your query. We hope it helps you and everyone viewing this post 😊

We understand your concern regarding the change in fan behavior after updating from BIOS F.27 to F.28 on your HP Pavilion Gaming 15-dk2000.

The latest BIOS version currently available for this model is F.30, and we recommend updating to the latest revision first, as it includes additional fixes and improvements that may address the behavior you are experiencing.

If you would still like to obtain the F.27 BIOS package, you can download it from the following HP support link: HP Pav Gaming Laptop 15-dk2117ne (6M7U3EA) Software and Driver Details

Before performing a BIOS rollback, please keep in mind that HP generally recommends running the latest BIOS version available for the system. In many cases, updating to F.30 is the preferred approach and may resolve thermal or fan-control concerns introduced or observed after an earlier update.

If you decide to install F.30 and continue to notice unusual fan behavior, please let us know:

  • Whether the issue occurs during gaming, normal usage, or both.
  • The CPU and GPU temperatures you are observing.
  • Whether you noticed any impact on system performance?

We'll be happy to review the details and assist further.
