When trying to install and use the HP Cloud Recovery Tool to create a USB recovery drive it downloads cversion 2.7 and when I try to use the tool it says I need to update to the latest version and gives an error code of  0x0c00412.

Any help is appreciated

Internet Connection: Confirm that your computer has an active internet connection, which is necessary for downloading updates and performing recovery operations.


System Requirements: Verify if your system meets the necessary requirements for running the HP Cloud Recovery Tool, including having the latest version of Windows and sufficient storage space.


Reinstallation of the Tool: Uninstall the current version of the HP Cloud Recovery Tool and then reinstall it from the Microsoft Store or via HP’s official website. This might help if there were issues during the initial installation.


USB Drive Issues: Make sure that the USB drive you are using meets the necessary specifications, such as minimum space requirements and is not an external hard drive.

What is the latest version?

 

I have tried everything you suggested without any resolve.

 

Now I am receiving an error saying that

"Either no donwload file can be found in the catalog, or the information from the catalog file is wrong. Please contact HP support.

We request that you use an alternate tool to install the OS:

Windows 11:  Download Windows 11

Windows 10: Download Windows 10
