HP CLOUD TOOL code failure 0xC00404. ProdID 2Z157UA#ABA VERIFIED

I installed the HP Cloud Recovery Tool from the Microsoft store on a working HP Laptop.  I wanted to use the tool to create a bootable drive for a old HP laptop ProdID:2Z157UA#ABA.  The recovery tool failed downloading image M49896-001.ISO three times.  There was also a error code number 0xC00404.   To verify the issue was not with my equipment I used the same recovery tool to create a bootable disk using the a flash drive for the HP computer I am currently using.  There were zero errors in this process and I was able to create a flash drive bootable disk with the recovery tool.    How do I resolve the image download problem?

It seems very likely that the working laptop, USB flash drive, installation of the HP Cloud Recovery Tool and internet connection is not at fault. It is more probable that the issue is with the HP recovery image service where the recovery file for product ID 2Z157UA#ABA – M49896-001. ISO is either unavailable, not accessible or improperly stored.

Since this tool was able to create recovery media for another HP laptop using the same computer and the USB flash drive, you do not have much to change locally in order to fix this problem. HP will need to restore, re-publish or make that recovery image available to you in some other way.

If HP does not have the recovery image of the factory image anymore or didn't fix it, it will be possible to download Microsoft Windows ISO and use it to create a bootable USB installation drive. You will then need to install Windows and then download and install drivers and software for the laptop.
