HP Laptop PC 15-dw3000 (1A3Y7AV)
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I changed the Nvme SSD to the exact same model (on the original SSD I want to try to recover the lost data) and it is recognized regularly by the bios, and I downloaded the HP Cloud recovery tool to try to factory reset the notebook . Once the USB stick is created and inserted, the notebook starts the recovery which takes a long time and does several reboots. Unfortunately at one of these restarts, when Windows is practically already installed it signals me a problem that interrupts the installation and only allows me to save the registry with the error or to try again but without solving.

I can't get out of this error window which says:
The restore attempt was unsuccessful. Select one of the following keys:
With the buttons REGISTRATION - DETAILS - RETRY
On the details opens a text file CTOERROR.FLG with many lines of text that do not make it easy to understand what the error is.

I have tried several times to perform the entire reset procedure with the same result.

The HP diagnostic tests do not detect any problems and I do not understand why a possible minor error prevents me from continuing with the use of the notebook and I cannot try to fix it in any way. I have tried several times to perform the procedure with the same result.

I attach the saved log and the error text file

Who can help me

You're very welcome.

If your notebook has an Intel 11th gen core processor, there is a special process needed to clean install W10/W11 on notebooks with the Intel 11th gen core processors...

See the info at the link below.

https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-15-f2000-laptop-pc-series/35900344/model/35900346/document/c...

Here is the link to the driver you need...

This package contains the Intel Rapid Storage Technology Driver for the supported notebook models and operating systems. The Intel Rapid Storage Technology is designed to provide functionality for the Intel Storage Controllers. The driver improves Serial ATA (SATA) disk performance with Native Command Queuing.

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp135501-136000/sp135979.exe

There is an error in that document, and that is where HP tells you to right click on the Intel driver file and select Extract to

When I ran through the steps, I don't get an Extract to option when I right click on the file.

You will probably have the same issue.  Download and install the free 7-zip file utility from the link below.

The 1st file at the top of the page is for 64 bit.

7-Zip (7-zip.org)

Then you can right click on the exe file, select 7-Zip from the menu, and select Extract to:  and let it extract the file into its folder name (sp135979), and copy that folder to your USB flash drive, and continue with the instructions.

Then you can install the drivers and available software from the support page.

Hi:

The only suggestion I can offer would be to go into the BIOS and set the date to the PC's 'Born on' date.

Some folks have reported that the trial software that may be included in the system image causes the failure if the current date exceeds the trial software's expiration date.

If you still can't get the recovery drive to work, you will have to clean install W10 by making bootable installation media with the media creation tool.

Scarica Windows 10 (microsoft.com)

After W10 has completed installing, you can install the drivers and available software from your notebook's support page.

HP Laptop PC 15-dw3000 (1A3Y7AV) Download di software e driver | Assistenza clienti HP®

The Windows product key is encrypted in your notebook's BIOS so you will not need it to reinstall W10.

Thanks for the reply.

Both windows11 and windows 10 microsoft installation media do not work because they do not see the 512 GB PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD disk ...

To make it work I would have to load the SSD drivers on the installation pendrive but I don't know how to do it.

I am retrying the reinstall with the HP Cloud Recovery Tool after reverting the date back from bions as per your directions.

The warranty expired on June 5, 2022, and I set the date to April 1, 2022

I'll update you tomorrow ‌‌
Greetings

Thanks, with the folder SP135979 copied on the pendrive the problem has been solved and the installation of windows 11 has just finished without problems !!!

Attention the disk drivers are not loaded automatically but it is necessary, during the installation, to manually browse the folders inside the SP135979 inside the pendrive until the drivers appear.

nb. With the HP cloud recovery tool you get the same error even bringing back the date from bios

Thanks for everything and happy Sunday !!!
