HP Cloud Recovery Tool Error 0xC00405 - Clean Reinstall Win 11 Fails

I'm seeking help with a clean reinstall of Windows 11 on my HP Envy x360 2-in-1 laptop. Currently, I have no functional operating system installed and urgently need to resolve this issue.

Here's what I've tried:

HP Cloud Recovery Tool: I attempted to use the HP Cloud Recovery Tool to reinstall Windows 11. Unfortunately, the process fails at the "calculating hash for download file" step, with error code 0xC00405. I've tried this on multiple laptops, all encountering the same issue.

Microsoft Media Creation Tool: I also tried creating a bootable USB drive with the Microsoft Media Creation Tool. While it installs Windows 11 successfully, the drivers for network, touchpad, and keyboard are missing, preventing me from completing the setup process.

Questions:

Has anyone encountered this specific error code (0xC00405) with the HP Cloud Recovery Tool?

Are there any known fixes or workarounds for this issue?

Is there a way to integrate missing drivers into a bootable USB drive created with the Microsoft Media Creation Tool?

Are there alternative methods for reinstalling Windows 11 on my HP laptop without encountering these errors?

I truly appreciate any insights or suggestions you can offer! My studies rely heavily on having a functional laptop, and resolving this issue ASAP is crucial. The easiest thing to do is to set up a local account in W11 and then you can install the drivers and software you need from the support page.

Use a USB keyboard and mouse if you have no input devices.

Will mechanical keyboard work without the drivers?

Yes.

The drivers are natively included in Windows.

Alright, I'll try to borrow a keyboard and try it later. But, I wonder why the recovery tool had that issue, it worked before for this exact same laptop without any issues ;(

The recovery tool has its own mind.

Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.

I've used it on some PCs and it works and on some it won't.

I have read the log reports. 

The first failure report indicated to disable secure boot, so I did, and it still failed.

Then the failure second log report indicated to enable secure boot!

The only suggestion I can offer for trying to get the cloud recovery tool to work would be to change the date in the BIOS to the PC's 'Born on' date, run the recovery media again and see if that works.

Sometimes the trial software in the recovery tool causes problems because of the license trial period.

just to be sure, it is change the date of the laptop i'm using to run the recovery tool, right? not the envy, since it has no functional OS to run the tool

No, you have to change the date in your 15-Fe0000 's BIOS settings.

The KB and mouse should work, pre-windows loading.

You get into the BIOS by turning on the PC.

Immediately press/tap the ESC key to get the menu of options.

Select the F10 setup option and press the Enter key and then you should be able to access the BIOS menus.

To boot from the cloud recovery drive, you turn on the PC.

Immediately press/tap the ESC key to get the menu of options.

Select the F9 boot options menu and from that, select the USB recovery drive and press the Enter key.

Sorry for not replying sooner, I had exams these couple of days. 

I really didn't understand the thing about 'born date', so I'm going/trying to inject the drivers into the Win 11 iso and create a bootbale media by 3rd party tools.

Will let you know if it works.
