Hi,
I'm trying to download the recovery OS for any business laptop/desktop. I am using the HP Cloud recovery tool but as soon as I've run the app, it will prompt "Error initializing".
I've tried to uninstall and re-install the software and I'm using a private network at house.
Can you recommend solution for this issue?
Thanks and stay safe!

Same issue with HP Elite x2 1012 G2.
In the log file I see multiple attempts to download "parts information" from AWS (see below). Could permissions be set wrong on AWS?
hpcr::logic::AwsLoggerAdapter::LogStream| [WinHttpSyncHttpClient] Failed setting TCP keep-alive interval with error code: 12018
hpcr::logic::DownloadManagerAWS::InternalTransferObject| Initiating download of C:\Program Files\HP\HP Cloud Recovery\hpcr.json

hpcr::logic::AwsLoggerAdapter::LogStream| [AWSClient] If the signature check failed. This could be because of a time skew. Attempting to adjust the signer.
hpcr::logic::HpRetryStrategy::ShouldRetry| 0/100; ErrorType: 15; ResponseCode: 403; return - false

Hello,
I've found the way.
Forget HP Cloud Recovery Client in your HP device model software and driver download page(sp139291.exe) of which version is 2.9.5.37980.
It seems not working at least for now.
Instead, use HP Cloud Recovery Tool in Microsoft Store(https://www.microsoft.com/store/productId/9MTKS9PR7R3N) of which version is 2.7.6.0 2021-0908.
With this you can proceed like below.
Hope this help.

Oh, I didn't know the MS Store version doesn't support some PCs like Z840 which doesn't have ProdID.
I recommend also to visit HP Cloud Recovery where you can get another HP Cloud Recovery version, if there's no ProdID on your device.
For my case, this works!
