To prepare that LT for a customer i would like to provide the customer with a bootable recovery stick.
However th Cloud Recovery Tool will not start to download the required software:
Product ID invalid
HP Support center shows
HP 17 Laptop PC 17-c2000 (4V791AV)
Produktnummer: 9B4R5EA#ABD
Serialnumber xxxxxxx (recognized and verified Onl)
Do I really have to spend money for man-to-man- assistance ?
(Btw. warranty data is not valid for item, although purchased just recently, system claims
expired. Dispute has been started, however no results yet )

According to the 9B4R5EA product number you posted, the 17-cn2436ng notebook you're working on comes with FreeDOS.
That means there is no Windows product key in the BIOS.
The part number for the motherboard confirms that there is no Windows product key by the -001 suffix.
All system boards use the following part numbers:
xxxxxx-001: Non-Windows operating systems
xxxxxx-601: Windows operating system

The HP cloud recovery tool is only supported for the notebooks that come with Windows product keys in the BIOS.
You don't need to contact HP regarding this problem since there isn't anything that can be done about it.
I do recommend that you use the free Showkey plus app from the Microsoft Store and print out the report of the Windows product key to give to your customer because they will need it to reinstall Windows in the future if necessary.

You're very welcome.
Yes, a reseller bought the PC with FreeDOS and installed W11.
The Showkey Plus app will show you the product key they used to activate Windows.
I hope it was a retail key or OEM builder key because I don't know if you can use a volume license key to activate Windows.
