Hi there,

I recently was trying to restore my HP laptop to the factory Windows version using the HP Cloud Recovery tool from the Microsoft Store. However, when I entered in my Product ID it said that it was invalid even though I typed it exactly as it is shown on the bottom of the PC. I have tried reinstalling the program, restarting my PC, and trying the Serial number in place of the product ID yet it still says that my Product ID is invalid. Is there any way that I can get the factory Windows image for my device?

Hi @Sam10941

That depends on the age and model of your laptop. Generally, HP does not provide support for models older than five years. You should download Windows directly from the Microsoft website.
