HP Recommended

I have 2 identical HP Workstations Z4G4, one of which now needs uninstalling because of updating problems.  I downloaded the HP Cloud Recovery Tool Installer and executed it. That produced an ‘HP Cloud Recovery Tool’ item on the monitor.

(At least that is what it was called, but it did not respond to mouse right clicks as the tool should have, if real.)

When I first attempted to open the recovery tool and received a ‘right click required’ popup notice, an ‘OK’ to the notice produced nothing but same popup notice again, every time. Actual right clicks whenever rendered were ignored.

The recovery tool did, however, show an icon in the task band. Today, however, when the right click notice arrived and the ’OK’ was clicked, both icon and the monitor tool item disappear. To get them back, the installed  recovery tool needs to be executed again.

To check to see if this is just a problem with the faulty computer, I tried to get a Cloud Recovery Tool on my other identical computer. Unfortunately, the problems are also identical.

Any ideas out there somewhere that could solve this problem? I keep feeling that I am doing something simple wrong.
