Hi all,

I have just downloaded and used the HP cloud recovery tool. I wish to know if the reset to factory default includes re-imaging the recovery partitions as well?

I guess I could always blow the C: drive away again to test this, but having spent too much time already, thought it may be quicker to ask.

Cheers,

Welcome to HP Community

I have gone through your Post and would like to help

If you still have your Recovery Partition intact and working then it is preferable that you do System Recovery directly from the Recovery Partition

The Recovery Media is to be used only if the Recovery Partition has been corrupted or deleted . Recovery Media will reformat the whole HDD

Thank you
