System Update is suggesting that I need to install this update.

I realize it relates to driveguard 3d. However my system has an NVME drive rather than a spinning drive so this software essentially does nothing. Is it really necessary?

Hi:

If your notebook only has a NVMe SSD, or even if it has a 2.5" SSD, the update is not necessary.

You can run the hide windows update utility from the link below.  Check the box to hide the update and it won't appear again unless you run the utility again and uncheck the box to unhide the update.

Hide Windows Updates or driver updates (microsoft.com)

I save this file on my PC because I use it occasionally to block other unwanted updates from showing up.
