Hi @cesarcalle,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP ENVY x360 2-in-1 laptop is not powering on even after holding down the power button for 20 seconds while unplugged, there are several troubleshooting steps you can try to determine the cause and potentially resolve the issue.
Check the Power Source:
- Ensure that your laptop is connected to a working power source. Plug it into a known good power outlet and make sure the power adapter is securely connected to both the laptop and the power source.
Inspect the Power Adapter:
- Examine the power adapter for any visible damage, such as frayed cables or bent pins. If you find any issues, you may need to replace the power adapter.
Check for Indicator Lights:
- Look for any LED indicator lights on the laptop. These lights may provide clues about the issue. If there are no lights, it could indicate a power problem.
Perform a Hard Reset:
- Disconnect the power adapter and any peripherals from the laptop.
- Remove the laptop's battery if it's removable. If it's not removable, you can skip this step.
- Press and hold the power button for about 15-20 seconds.
- Reconnect the power adapter (and battery, if removed) and try turning the laptop on again.
Try Another Power Outlet:
- Sometimes, the power outlet itself may be faulty. Try plugging your laptop into a different outlet to see if that makes a difference.
Test with a Different Charger:
- If possible, try using a different compatible charger to rule out any issues with the power adapter.
Inspect for Physical Damage:
- Carefully examine the laptop for any physical damage, such as water damage, visible cracks, or loose connections. Physical damage can prevent the laptop from turning on.
Reset the BIOS/UEFI:
- If you're comfortable accessing the BIOS or UEFI settings, you can try resetting them to default. This can sometimes resolve power-related issues.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
