Hello, my work sometime ago supplied me with a HP elite display S14, along with a new laptop. However, the laptop does not have a usb-c port. I have bought and tried an adapter with no luck. Is there anyway I will be able to get the display running e.g some way to convert my usb to usb-c, also it was mentioned in another article that the display requires a usb-c thunderbolt, is this true rather than just a normal usb?  Any help would be really appreciated, absolutely no clue about these things. Many thanks

You need a TRUE USB-C port on your machine which supports video out to connect to your monitor using a TRUE USB-C cable.

Regards.
