Sorry...the first link was mistyped. Corrected it now.
1) Base System Device PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_2A47&SUBSYS_30EC103C&REV_07
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp45001-45500/sp45131.exe
2) Pci Serial Port PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_2A47&SUBSYS_30EC103C&REV_07
The above one would suffice.

sp45131.exe ran ok without any issues this time thanks so much, but sp45228.exe throws the following error even when I eventually ran it as administrator. And card reader and finger print sensor still not working.
"You must have administrator privileges to perform this operation"
What do you think?

BTW I now have the yellow driver sign in device manager for the LSI HDA Modem #2 Hardware ID is HDAUDIO\FUNC_02&VEN_11C1&DEV_1040&SUBSYS_103C1378&REV_1002.
Still no change to Base System Device, Hardware ID is PCI\VEN_1180&DEV_0592&SUBSYS_30EC103C&REV_14.
Thanks for looking into this.

Finger Print reader software:

Hi Vidya,
Do be kind enough to just look at this one, everything else is now fine, thanks so much. Pleaseeeeee!!!!
I have the yellow driver sign in device manager for the LSI HDA Modem #2 Hardware ID is HDAUDIO\FUNC_02&VEN_11C1&DEV_1040&SUBSYS_103C1378&REV_1002

I'm afraid neither of the two softpaqs worked. I uninstalled the LSI HDA Modem and deleted drivers as provided by uninstaller in device manager, search for new HW and it now shows "Agere Systems HDA Modem" but with still yellow error.
See Hardware ID: HDAUDIO\FUNC_02&VEN_11C1&DEV_1040&SUBSYS_103C1378&REV_1002
This is what's left of the errors, thanks so much for your help.
