I have an 840 G1 that has a black screen at power on, Bios does not start, fan just runs on and on.
Followed the steps shown here: https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c02693833
No results. Still having same issue.
Any suggestions?

Hello @WilliamB2018
If you followed all the steps in the BIOS recovery article and nothing helped, I am afraid you will need to bring your computer (or ship it) to service - HP Authorized service center. If the computer is still under warranty, you will need to notify HP support first. For USA, you may call 1-(800)-334-5144. If you are not sure where such a center is located, please contact HP support for assistance in finding one. Here is more info:

Althogh it looks like a BIOS problem, I would also check this article and follow it to rule out other issues >> http://hp.dezide.com/ts/start.jsp?guide=NoPowerorBootIssues.net&as=true§ion=ccweb&sfs=tdoc&lc=en
Hope this helps.
