HP EliteBook 840 G3

Windows 10 Pro Build 1703

We have a couple of Elitebook 840 G3 with the exact same problem. After multiple calls with HP Business Support and everything updated (BIOS, Dock firmware, drivers), they decided that they wanted to take a look at them.

Today I received the two laptops, which was sent to HP, but they unfortunately couldn't reproduce the problem and sent them back without a solution.

Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Regards,

Tommy.

This is what i did and lucky no issue since. I update the bios, Intel corp ME firmware component, ESU for Win10, uncheck all USB in the device manager "allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" and disable USB selective suspend setting  in power option, i have Group policy to do that. and last windows updates. so far i dont have any issue with the USB. hopefully it still that way.

Tommy, please let us know if MadIT suggestions have worked for you.

I updated the one user to the latest microsoft build 15063.447 that was released on 6/27/17 yesterday. This morning she did not have issues, but we'll see after a couple days.

Do we have anything else in common?

Did you guys use a fresh install of Windows 10 or are you using the default installation?

We are using the default install on each computer. Also domain connected.

mickeforsberg has this worked for you?  Have 160+ machines showing the same symptoms and it is maddening trying to track this down.

Thanks

I'm not sure Jason, we haven't had any complaints yet from our customer though, as far as I know.

I will check with my colleague and see what changes he made last.
