Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

HP Elitebook 840 G8 CPU fan only spins when on AC power, but not when running on battery power.

BIOS option only allows to enable "Always on when on AC power", doesn't look like there's an option to enable CPU fan on when on battery power.

Regedit workarounds (to enable CPU power management options) - don't seem to change anything.

Is there a hidden BIOS option or a 3rd party osftware which would enable CPU fan to spin when on battery power?

Thanks
