Hi:
The only suggestion I can offer, would be to try the USB3 driver directly from Intel
Download, unzip and run the setup application from the driver at the link below...

That is very unusual.
Your workstation has the Intel series 7 chipset and the USB 3 driver is for that one, so I don't know why you are getting an unsupported error.
If you can get back into Windows, try manually installing the driver as follows...
If you haven't deleted the unzipped USB driver folder, go to the device manager.
Click on the problem USB controller needing the driver.
Click on the driver tab. Click on update driver.
Select the Browse my computer for driver software option, and browse to the unzipped driver folder.
Make sure the Include Subfolders box is checked, and see if the driver installs that way.

Hi:
That's not good.
Sounds to me like there is either W7 is corrupt, and needs to be clean installed again, or a hardware issue of some kind exists.
The only other quick fix suggestion I can offer would to see if installing a newer chipset driver resolves the problem.
Install the chipset driver first, restart the PC and then install the USB 3 driver again. The 2nd file down on the left side of the page is the auto install file.
