I have an HP Envy 15 1060ea with an upgraded motherboard (from an HP Envy 15 1100 series notebook).
MSCONFIG32 reports the following BIOS information on the motherboard:
Hewlett Packard F.2B 12/10/2010
Unfortunately I cannot find a matching BIOS with that date on the HP Website.
HP have removed all support data for the original HP Envy 15 1060ea from their support website ...
They have not even archived it anywhere.
The nearest VBIOS Information I can find is for an HP Envy 1110ea:
WinFlash for HP Notebook System BIOS - Microsoft Windows-Based
F.2B Rev. A
4.1 MB
Oct 20, 2010
It looks like it *might* be the same BIOS however the dates are different.
I would like to find and download a matching BIOS that is on the motherboard I have i.e.
Hewlett Packard F.2B 12/10/2010
Or at least save the current BIOS on the motherboard so I can reload it onto the PC should anything go wrong in the future.
Any Ideas what I should do?
Thanks.

I looked on the C:Drive of the PC.
I see the following directory already on there: C:\SWSetup\SP50600\
It looks like the HP Envy 15 1110ea BIOS had previously been installed on the Laptop.
Just to check, - I downloaded the HP Envy 15 1110ea BIOS file - named sp50600.exe and started the BIOS Flashing Process.
I set the installation directory to be C:\SWSetup\SP50600V2\
I then halted the BIOS flash and exited the the process.
Looking in the C:\SWSetup\SP50600V2\ directory I see the following file:
InsydeFlash.exe
The date on the file is: 12/10/2010.
This corresponds to the MSCONFIG32 report.
It looks like I have solved the problem w.r.t. determining exactly which BIOS is installed.
Next step is to try to find a copy of all of the software files for the original HP Envy 15 1060ea.
It seems that HP simply delete product files and information on old PC's
Perhaps it might be a good idea to upload them to the Internet Wayback Machine so users of old PC can still get the files?
If anyone does know how I can get all of the software the downloads for the HP Envy 1060ea please let me know.
Thanks
