HP Envy 17-cg0415no
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I brought my new computer home this saturday, and I have been updating Windows, drivers and installing my Software.

When I was finished I turned it off (Via the start menu and chose shut down). 10 seconds after I had closed the lid I hear the fans spinn up and go full power. And they do NOT stop. If I plug in the power adapter, they stop. If I unplug it, they start up again after 10 seconds. And they do not stop. Ever.

I have searched, and I have check the BIOS for the always on function and it was disabled.

I have checked Windows 10 settings for quick startup and turned that off.

But the problem is still there.

So the computer is basically brand new, and I have no idea why this is happening. Anyone have any ideas?

I believe fan blows very hard for around 5 seconds and then stop. I think that is a new feature from BIOS, it will check working order of fan(s) on machine before going to next step.

Regards.

If that was the case, the fans would stop. They dont. They spinn for hours. So no, thats not what is happening. As I also wrote in my original post.
