HP ENVY Laptop PC 14-eb0000 (363Q7AV)

My HP ENVY laptop 14-eb0505na was working normally-I had just logged out of youtube whilst charging a pair of ear buds. The screen went black. The on/ off button remains lit, despite depressing it. No response from the mouse or touch pad- cursor not visible. Closing and opening lid had no effect. When connected to charger, the charger light is lit. I fear it may reqire a repair.

The computer remained in this state and I periodically checked it. After about 18h, I noticed the on/off light was out, so I pressed on/off and the computer booted up and started operating normally. I noticed that the battery charge had fallen to about 1-2%, so I connected the charger. It has been running satisfactorily for about 20h so I guess the problem has resolved itself.
