I am restoring a HP Envy M6-k022dx  (from eBay) which had a password on it so formatted it and installed windows 10 instead of Windows 8 It seems there is no driver page for it as of Windows 8 as I know I could have made windows 8 compalit for Windows 10

is that site no longer or do I need to put something else on my google search?

it is a

HP Envy M6-k022dx

15.6" touch screen

AMD A10 processor

6GB Ram

256GB SSD

Windows 10 Fresh install

Beats Audio

Thank you

Hi:

It appears that HP has retired support for your PC since it is more than 10 years old.

That's why you can't find any drivers for it on the HP support site.

We are currently not allowed to post links to third party driver sites.

However, I don't see anything improper with letting you know that the DriversCollection.com website has the drivers for your PC.

I use the site all the time and the drivers are legitimate and virus free.

Just do a search for the HP ENVY TouchSmart m6-k022dx drivers and include in the search the Driverscollection website name and you will be able to find the drivers HP used to supply,

All you need to do is do a Bing search...HP Envy M6-k022dx driverscollection.

Click on the first thing that shows up and then go from there.  There's 7 pages of W8.1 drivers.

The notebook never had driver support for W10.

HP Envy M6-k022dx driverscollection - Search

Use that sp71886 IDT driver file I gave you the other day for the audio on W10.

I found it looks like it was page 2  can the sp71886  work for the audio

also I found I could not find it as they list it as HP ENVY TouchSmart m6-k022dx   touchsmart

Thank you again

Have a Good Day

You're very welcome.

Yes,  I believe that sp71886 will work for the m6 on W10.

One question why is it when i listen to youtube I always have to change the volume to Internal speakers

seem that it thinks the headphones are my default set  how do I change that without losing my headphones too

Seems that the speakers when installing the internal speakers should be default at installation

HP Recommended

Did you check the Windows control panel to make sure that the PC speakers are set as the default audio output?

HP Recommended

it shows this but still goes into the headphones if I turn off my laptop and then back on
