Product: HP Envy

Purchased HP Envy 2014 with Windows 8 - upgraded to Windows 10 which didn't work and tried to return to Windows 8 which was an option - (I've since bought a new HP laptop) but would like this one which isn't working to be revived.  The error message is 0xc000025

hello can you access the recovery envioment mode for windows 8?
