Recently got this used HP Envy x360 Convertible 2022 off of eBay a few days ago. I was playing GTA V on my Laptop when was accidentally turned off while the game was still running. When I when to go back to turn it on, nothing happened but it would get warm at the button in certain areas. I’ve tried doing the reset where you disconnect the charging source and press the power button for some seconds. But, that didn’t work and it’s still not turning on. All the methods that I’ve tried so far, have left me with no results. What should I do?
Thanks in advance.

Hi @k4zm4de,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like your HP Envy x360 is having some significant issues. Here are a few steps you can try to troubleshoot.
Perform a Hard Reset Again:
- Disconnect the charger.
- Remove the battery (if removable).
- Hold the power button for 15-20 seconds.
- Reconnect the battery and charger.
- Try turning it on again.
Check for LED Indicators:
- Look for any LED lights or blinking patterns that might indicate a specific issue. Refer to the laptop’s manual for information on what these indicators mean.
Reseat the RAM:
- If you’re comfortable doing so, open the laptop and reseat the RAM modules. Sometimes, improper seating can cause boot issues.
Inspect for Physical Damage:
- Check if there are any visible signs of physical damage or loose connections inside the laptop.
External Monitor Test:
- Connect the laptop to an external monitor to see if there is any display output. This can help determine if the issue is with the screen or something more internal.
Check for Overheating:
- Since you mentioned it gets warm, it might be worth checking if the cooling system is clogged or malfunctioning. Overheating can cause shutdowns or failures to power on.
Remove Peripherals:
- Disconnect all external devices and peripherals to rule out any issues caused by connected hardware.
BIOS/CMOS Battery Reset:
- If you’re comfortable, you might also try resetting the BIOS by removing and reinserting the CMOS battery. This step can sometimes resolve power issues.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
