I have the hp pavilion gaming laptop 15 -dk1xxx Device , Intel Core i5-10300H CPU , 8.00 GB Ram, GeForce GTX 1050, with a SSD.
I had not have any issues with this laptop for over a year until today, at the start of the day is was working really well, games felt smooth, apps were fast and responsive. This is when i installed the windows update, at first it felt normal until an hour later YouTube started to feel sluggish, maybe its just chrome? I decided to open a game that doesn't use too much resources. And it was super bad (usually i get 200+ fps, and now i only get 15 fps while moving) This is when it goes downhill. There was this app called "omen system optimizer" saying that its gonna boost my game speed or whatever, i clicked no, and all of a sudden my WHOLE computer is unusable, astronomically slow for a SSD. I restarted my computer numerous times, tried installing all the new drivers, did a virus scan, proceeded to delete "omen gaming hub" because that was app that came with "omen system optimizer". NOTHING WORKED
No drops or water damage, I have plenty of space left in my SSD (41gb left) Did all the tutorials on YouTube to fix this problem at no of them worked!
Does anybody have any suggestion on what to do?
Tell if i left out on any details thanks!
