Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi

I purchased an HP i5 laptop a few month back and am very disappointed with its performance.  My previous laptop was a Dell i3 which had far superior performance. The Dell had less RAM.

If I have say excel, word and a PDF viewer open and I want open Microsoft Edge it takes ages to open and then all the open apps are very slow. If I restart, then the performance is much better, but over the next few days it gets slower and slower until I restart again. I do not use much more than word, excel, adobe viewer and edge. Is this 'Normal' or is there a problem with my laptop?

Regards

John

Hi @Johnnyearing,

Welcome to the HP Support Forum!

Go to Computer is Slow (Windows), and then run the Performance Tune Up Check tool through HP Support Assistant. This will help identify any potential issues.

Let me know if that helps. 🙂
