HP Laptop 14s-dq1n
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello all, I noticed a System Firmware issue in device manager, I have tried to update all drivers and bios but no change, I used the HP Assistant tools to do this and also used the HP software to undertake checks on the laptop but none cover bios but all others came back fine.

The device works fine but am worried about this, I tried restarting as it advised but no luck I feel I have exhausted all available options on the issue, anyone experienced the same issue and if so any advise is welcomed.

Hi:

I had the same problem.

Go to the driver tab and roll back the driver.

The driver was installed by Windows Update and it must have been sent to the wrong PC's.

Thank you, I managed to solve it by uninstalling it and then scanning for changes and it automatically installed the correct driver.

You're very welcome.

Yes, that works too.

Just check to make sure that windows update doesn't try to install that driver again.

If it does, run the hide windows update utility that I zipped up and attached below to prevent the update from installing again.
