Hi,

My HP laptop is about four years old and has been experiencing odd problems for the past two years. Randomly my laptop will shut down the screen with no response to the power button, keyboard, or charger (No lights displayed when using any). However, the laptop is still running and will not shut down until it dies. Usually this occurs after using it for about an hour in a class (no strenuous activity from laptop) and when I turn it off and close it, it will not power off, it black screens into this problem.

Other times the laptop will be open and bluescreen with the error codes "Pool" and "Caller", then blackscreen with the same results as the first.

The only way I have managed to reboot my laptop is to let it die, take out the battery and put it back in, or very rarely a reboot key sequence works (I use the Windows key and M, Alt f4, then enter. This only works if the blue screen pops up).

This problem occurs randomly and I have no way of predicting when it happens, please help.

Hello @Ellayna

Sorry to hear that you are having problems ... I would like to help you.

To help you I need to know the product number (p/n) of your notebook !

It looks something like this:

You will find this information on the back/rear of your notebook in small alphanumeric letters.

The product number (p/n) is legally allowed information about the computer. This is not sensitive data.

It is allowed to publish it in public.
