How to upgrade HP Mini 1001TU currently working on Windows XP operating system to Windows 10 operating system now. Is there any way to get it upgraded or the product is useless now since Windows XP is no more in use ??

The most realistic answer (in my view) is simply -- NOT going to happen!

Let me explain why ...

First, an UPGRADE means putting a newer OS in place of the current one while retaining the existing data, settings, and applications.  There is no way to UPGRADE from Win XP to Win10.  You would have to do a clean install and will lose everything in the process.

Second, your XP PC has very old hardware and it is highly unlikely any of it is going to work with Windows 10, especially the display hardware.  Microsoft completely changed their drive models between XP and Win10, and you won't be able to use the existing XP drivers.

Third, XP era applications won't run in Windows 10.  You would have to replace all of them with current versions, and quite a few of them probably do not exist anymore as lots of software companies have died out or been replaced in the interim.

Fourth, Win10 needs 4GB of system memory to run and most XP era PCs max out a 1GB or 2GB at most, so even if you did get Win10 to install, it would run so slowly as to be useless.

Okay, thanks for the response and updating about the issue that due hardware constraint it is not possible to upgrade to windows 10. But, as I mentioned since my HP Mini is useless as it is operating on Windows XP hence many applications are not supported, It would have been an appropriate reply to me if you could have also suggest me the alternate option available in my case. Can it be upgraded to windows 7? so that my old horse, HP Mini is operational again or any other option available to make it functional.

Thanks & Regards,

If not windows 10, can it be upgraded with windows 7 ??

Once again, the answer and issues are the same -- as there is no Upgrade Path from XP to Win7, you would have to buy a new Windows license, and this case is worse than Win10 in that Microsoft has dropped support for Win7, so unless you then buy and install third-party antimalware, your PC is going to get infected as soon as you connect to the Internet.

Sorry, but XP-era PCs are too old to be updated successfully anymore.

1) we need to check win 10 requirements

2) ram upgrade

3) need to buy win 7/8 license.

i think it wil cost some money. May slow down Pc.

This model has a max memory of 1GB -- which makes it pretty much useless for any upgrade.

In my humble opinion its probably time to dump the XP computer and buy a new one at this point.  At this point even Windows 8.1 is at or nearing end of life status. Every computer you see in stores or for sale now has Windows 10 unless you go the Apple Route.
