My Notebook 15 won't power up. I've done the reset by removing the battery and unplugging the power cord then holding the power button down for 1 minute. The power light is on and it does recharge the battery. This started when I was resetting the computer because I lost my password. I was wondering if I need to replace the motherboard? Please help me if you can.

Hello Krazy Toad I installed a new motherboard into this laptop but it still has now power. This power issue started when I was trying to reset the password. I'm able to check the battery and the power cord on another HP laptop like this one. I'm running out of things to try to fix this. Do you have any more ideas to help me? Thanks Gary

This is definitely a very peculiar issue since you already changed the Motherboard. The issue seems to be either with Motherboard or AC Adapter

At this point the best option would be to contact HP Support in your Region for Service Options

Thank you
