Hello! An update info in my HP Support Assistant pops out as HP Notebook System BIOS Update (AMD Processors). Given my previous experience on the same BIOS update of the same device where I got problems of opening it and was only resolve by uninstalling it later, should I follow the update listed since it was now from HP?

Hi @Blesselda,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The HP Notebook System BIOS Update (AMD Processors) is a software update for HP laptops that use AMD processors. The BIOS (Basic Input/Output System) is a firmware program that controls the basic functions of the computer, including booting up and shutting down.

The HP Notebook System BIOS Update (AMD Processors) is designed to provide enhancements and bug fixes to the BIOS of HP laptops using AMD processors. These enhancements and bug fixes can include improvements in system stability, compatibility with new hardware, and security updates.

To perform the HP Notebook System BIOS Update (AMD Processors), you will need to download and install the latest version of the update from the HP website. It is important to follow the instructions carefully and ensure that your laptop is connected to a stable power source during the update process.

Note that updating the BIOS is a critical process that can potentially damage your system if not done correctly.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
