OMEN Laptop - 15-en0008na
Microsoft Windows 11

Hi Windows update pushed an optional update "Firmware 15.16.0.0" and without thinking too much I selected to install. This pushed out BIOS update F.16 to my HP Omen laptop. Upon checking the HP support page, they don't seem to list this is a BIOS update for my laptop. Is this a legitimate BIOS update?

@Philh9

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help,
To get the answer to this question, If you do not see the version of BIOS listed on the software download site for your HP product, HP does not have any downloadable firmware or drivers for your product for that operating system.

However, in some scenarios, Microsoft might push the latest update via windows update, also BIOS updates are managed by Microsoft not HP.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
