OMEN by HP - 15-ce006na
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi People.

So I have the Omen by HP 15-ce006na and its developed a fault.  When I plug the charger in (when battery has died) the orange charge light comes on for 1s and then goes off.  Obviously this means it is not charging.  It can do this quite a few times and then occasionally it will work.  I tried updating the Battery in Device Manager (as suggested) and I have updated the BIOS to the latest version but it still doesn't work.  It is not the charger as I've tried a second charger with it.  And its not the charging lead inside as I have tried a replacement for that too.  Any ideas anyone?

I have a very upset son at the moment.

Welcome to HP Community

I have gone through your Post and would like to help

Is the charging port loose? Please run a Battery Test from F2 Diagnostic and keep me posted

- Hold the power button for at least five seconds to turn off the Notebook.
- Turn on the computer and immediately press Esc repeatedly, about once every second.
- When the menu appears, press the F2 key.
- On the main menu, click Component Tests and Power > Battery

Thank you

So battery test passes but the machine still does not see that a power supply is plugged in. It has had the power lead (internal) replaced. The battery replaced and the bios updated and it’s still not working.

Thank you for the information.

Have you tried charging the battery using a different charger (If available)?

I recommend you contact support as it may be a hardware issue with the charging board.

Here is how you can get in touch with support.

1)Click on this link – www.hp.com/contacthp/

2)Select the product type.

3)Enter the serial number of your device or select let HP detect your product option.

4)Select the country from the drop-down.

5)You should see the HP phone support number or Chat option listed.

Cheers!
