The laptop currently has Windows 11 22H2, is reporting "end of life", and refusing updates.
I have updated the BIOS, reset TPM in the BIOS, the BIOS shows TPM on and available, but does not report the version.
The OS does not show any TPM and fails all diagnostics to recognize TPM.
I purchased this laptop new two years ago. I find it hard to believe there's no solution to this.
Please help!

@Ranchez, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding TPM Issues on OMEN 17.3 inch Gaming Laptop PC!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
It seems you're facing issues with TPM recognition on your OMEN 17.3 inch Gaming Laptop PC, which results in your Windows 11 rejecting updates and reporting "end of life." Below are some steps and solutions which might help resolve the issue:
Check TPM status in BIOS:
- Restart your laptop and immediately press F10 to access the BIOS setup.
- Navigate to the Security menu.
- Check if the TPM device status is set to "Available" and not "Hidden".
- If the TPM Device setting changes from Hidden to Available, the BIOS should make this item visible immediately without a restart.
Enable TPM in BIOS:
- Within the BIOS Security settings, ensure TPM State is set to "Enabled."
- If the TPM is off, turn it on instead of clearing it to temporarily suspend TPM operations.
Clear TPM in BIOS:
- In bios settings, choose Clear TPM only if necessary, as this action will reset the TPM security settings and clear all created keys associated with the TPM.
Update the BIOS to the Latest Version:
- Make sure your BIOS is updated to the latest version provided by HP. You can check for BIOS updates here.
Update Windows Again:
- After confirming and/or changing the TPM settings, try updating Windows again.
HP Sure Start BIOS Recovery:
- Sometimes the BIOS may need a recovery to ensure integrity. Navigate to BIOS Sure Start settings and enable Verify Boot Block on every boot.
Specific TPM Settings in BIOS:
TPM Device:
- It should be set to Available.
TPM State:
- It should be set to Enabled.
Clear TPM:
- Only proceed if prompted and confirmed.
Hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!

Hi -
I am having exactly this same issue - and I need to reset Windows because of problems, which I can't do because of the TPM error.
TPM is active in bios, but Windows doesn't see it. I have done everything here, but update the bios. I cannot update the bios because I keep getting the dreaded "Image not found" error, and because this model has safe boot, I cannot update from a flash drive.

I've done all of this multiple times - still the same results.
TPM shows active in BIOS but not recognized by Windows 11.
I see a lot of posts from HP users with the same issues.
It would seem that, by now, there would be an actual solution.
The steps listed simply don't work for most users with this issue.
