Hi @AJC890,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If you're experiencing persistent pop-ups from HP Omen SystemOptimizer and you want to stop them from appearing, you can try the following steps.
Check for Unwanted Software: First, make sure that the pop-up you're seeing is not due to some unwanted or potentially malicious software on your computer. Run a thorough antivirus scan to rule out any malware.
Uninstall HP Omen System Optimizer (if you don't need it): If you don't use or need HP Omen System Optimizer, you can try uninstalling it completely from your computer. Here's how:
a. Press Win + X and select "Apps and Features" from the menu.
b. Locate HP Omen SystemOptimizer in the list of installed programs.
c. Click on it and select "Uninstall."
Update HP Omen System Optimizer (if you use it): If you actually use HP Omen System Optimizer and want to keep it, it might be asking for updates. Try updating the software to see if the pop-up stops. Check the HP Omen System Optimizer settings for an update option or visit the HP website to download the latest version.
Disable Startup Programs:
a. Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager.
b. Go to the "Startup" tab.
c. Look for any entries related to HP Omen SystemOptimizer and disable them. This prevents it from starting with Windows.
Check for Scheduled Tasks:
a. Open the Task Scheduler by searching for it in the Windows search bar.
b. In the Task Scheduler Library, look for any scheduled tasks related to HP Omen System Optimizer and disable or delete them.
Clean Your Browser (if pop-ups occur while browsing):
a. Clear your browser's cache and cookies.
b. Disable or remove any browser extensions or add-ons that you don't recognize.
Update Windows: Ensure your Windows operating system is up to date, as updates can sometimes resolve software compatibility issues.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

I have the "HP.Omen.SystemOptimizer" popup problem, I tried your suggestions without success. I have a HP Slim DesktopS01-pF2008a PC, there is nothing relating to Omen that I can find under apps etc yet that annoying popup interferes several times each session. My computer is used for my research not for gaming. I do not want or need this app on my computer, how can the popup be stopped, I press "NO" each time
