Does anyone with this laptop experience palm rejection issues when using a stylus? I'm left handed, and already switched this in the settings but i still run into the issue pretty often.

Hi @gorapr

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

Thanks for sharing that—it's genuinely frustrating when palm rejection doesn't behave as expected, especially when you're trying to focus on stylus input and illustration work.

Here are a few steps that may help improve your experience:

Adjust Windows Pen Settings

  • Go to Settings → Bluetooth & devices → Pen & Windows Ink.
  • Ensure “Ignore touch input when using the pen” is enabled.
  • Double-check that Handedness is set to Left.

Update Drivers

  • Open Device Manager → Expand Human Interface Devices.
  • Look for entries like HID-compliant touch screen or HP Pen Device.
  • Right-click and choose Update driver → Search automatically.

App-Specific Settings

Some apps like OneNote or Adobe Fresco have their own palm rejection and handedness settings. Be sure to adjust those individually.

Clean the Screen

Even small amounts of oil or moisture can interfere with palm detection. A quick wipe with a microfiber cloth can make a difference.

Test Across Apps

Try using your stylus in different apps like Paint, Windows Ink Workspace, or OneNote. If the issue is isolated to one app, it may be software-specific.
