My laptop recently stated, "Repairing disk errors” on Windows 10.... This might take over 1 hour to complete."
This took 2 days! It then revealed, HP PC HARDWARE DIAGNOSTIC UEFI.
I clicked on
However, it indicated, SMART CHECK: FAILED.
FAILURE ID: UOFS08-7BC9GN-XD7V7F-609403
PRODUCT ID: K1X44EA#ABU
Any advice would be gladlly accepted...

Welcome to the HP Support Community!
I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.
I checked the failure ID you have shared and see that the hard drive is gone bad and needs replacement.
I recommend you contact HP phone support and they will assist you with the available service options for your computer.
Here is how you can get in touch with the phone support.
1)Click on this link – www.hp.com/contacthp/
2)Select the product type.
3)Enter the serial number of your device or select let HP detect your product option.
4)Select the country from the drop-down.
5)You should see the HP phone support number or Chat option listed.
Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!
If you wish to show appreciation for my efforts, mark my post as Accept as Solution. Your feedback counts!
