Hi everyone,
I have an HP Pavilion 15‑n205sc (G1L77EA) laptop and I’m experiencing the following issue:

  • No display when powering on

  • Caps Lock blinks 2 times, which indicates a BIOS failure according to HP

  • Tried Win + B / Win + V → no response

  • Tried removing RAM and CMOS battery → same behavior

  • Laptop is older and HP no longer provides BIOS or drivers for this model on official sites

I have found a BIOS update online and would like to try recovering the BIOS via USB flash drive, if possible.

I’m looking for advice on:

  1. Whether this is feasible for my exact motherboard revision

  2. How to safely attempt USB BIOS recovery

I’m not looking to flash a file from an unverified source myself, just guidance or a safe procedure.

Has anyone experience with this model or tips on how to safely attempt BIOS recovery via USB?

I need exe file please, thank u

Below are the info and exe file links to the latest BIOS update I could find for the 15-n2xx notebooks with AMD processors (F.20):

Hi:

Does your PC have an Intel or AMD processor?

I can give you the link to the latest BIOS update HP has for that model series but there are some that come with AMD and Intel processors.

I also have to check the file to see if it will allow you to create a USB BIOS recovery drive.

Some will not, and in that case you would be out of luck.

AMD i guess
