Pavilion 17-e119wm
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I understand the HP site only carries drivers for my 17-e119wm for Windows 8.1 and Windows 10.

Due to technicial issues with another electronic device, the software it requres doesn't work under Windows 8.1 or Windows 10. It works very well under Windows 7. Therefore, I have downgraded my laptop to Windows 7.

The problem, I can't seem to find drivers that will let the 3.0 USB ports work. I've managed to install  Bluetooth, LAN drivers, audio, etc...

However, under my Device Manager that isn't installing. The Universal Serial Bus (USB) Controller), which I'm guessing belongs to the 3.0 ports because my 3.0 ports aren't working. My 1 2.0 port is.

Can someone recommend windows 7 drivers that'll let the 3.0 USB ports work?

Hi:

You need to install the chipset driver directly from AMD to get the USB3 ports to work.

You want the first driver listed on the webpage.  Install and restart the PC.

Thank you so much Paul. I had tried some AMD chipset drivers, but apparently I downloaded the wrong ones.
